2 weeks in to the Local Plan Consultation and 6 completed sessions.

Thank you to all who have made comments already whether online, via email or in person. We’ve only had three workshops and three drop-in events and already they have given us lots of food for thought in how the next version of the Local Plan will shape-up and adapt following your feedback. A small example of the significant insight we’ve gained so far includes suggestions to make stronger reference of the need to create inclusive communities that are all well connected to each other and the surrounding neighbourhoods. Plus to give greater attention and focus to the access and heritage of the Grand Union Canal.

These two points, as well as many others, will genuinely impact the Local Plan going forward. The consultation doesn’t finish until 31st March, so there is still plenty of time to come along to a workshop or drop-in session to find out more and share your views. If you are unable to attend one, you can send us your views through our online engagement platform , by email and post. Or take part in our live lunchtime Twitter session on 8th and 30th March, both at 1.30pm, using #OPDClocalplan.

Any feedback that is shared via any of these forums will help to inform how the Local Plan is developed ready for the next round of public consultation in Autumn 2016.
